Where do green eyes come from? According to Dr. Marci Morris, an optometrist quoted in the book, "there is no blue eye pigment, and there is no green eye pigment. There is only one true eye pigment, and that is brown.... Blue eyes are actually due to the lack of brown pigment. Green eyes are basically the result of any remaining brown pigment."
