Why would someone want to do this? What would possess a person to look at a hook and think, "I'll bet I could stick a bunch of these into myself and hang in the air?"
This is a photo from a convention taking place right now in Rhode Island, by the way. Yes, a convention. A whole bunch of people apparently looked at hooks and wondered what it would be like to stick themselves with them and hang. Notice the lovely tattoos. Maybe tattoos are a gateway into hooks? Maybe if you view your skin as just a canvas to draw on it leads to hanging from hooks?
No? OK, probably not.
I'll bet the citizens of Rhode Island are just thrilled to no end that this is in the worldwide news. It's like a big advertisement that says, "if you think people in Massachusetts are fucked up, just look at us!"
Somewhere here in Cordova, right this very minute, someone is looking at this photo and thinking, "hey, I could do that."
