Perspectives

Here in the United States we have primarily 2 political parties: Democrats and Republicans. The Democrats historically opposed all efforts to end slavery, formed the Ku Klux Klan, formed the second Ku Klux Klan, supported Jim Crow laws, opposed civil rights legislation, and are today most commonly known as the party of class warfare. The Republicans started the war between the states which resulted in the deaths of over half the males in the country, but did ultimately result in the end of legalized slavery in the United States prior to the establishment of the family court system. Republicans have not been very successful in attaining or holding power at the federal government level. Democrats have controlled Congress for over 90 percent of the last 100 years and the White House roughly 50 percent of the same time period. Why?

Democrats view Republicans as greedy, considering the Republicans capitalistic, market-oriented views to be sinful and immoral. Democrats also despise Republicans views on the importance of individual rights as being selfish and unfair. Republicans view Democrats as being obsessed with power and see Democrats endless and usually ruthless quest for more power to be evidence of a personality disorder. Democrats are fond of labeling those they dislike and are fond of referring to Republicans as "the religious right." Republicans view the Democrats worship of power and control to be a fanatical and intolerant evangelical religious cult which they call socialism or sometimes communism.

Democrats traditionally engage in "us vs them" politics. They divide Americans into those who vote for Democrats as a group and those who don't. Those who vote for Democrats as a group are rewarded when Democrats attain power. Democrats enjoy taking the wealth and property of those who earned it but did not support Democrats quest for power and giving it to those who did not earn it, but who typically vote for Democrats. Democrats call this "social justice" or "redistribution of wealth" while Republicans call it "stealing", "cronyism", "bribery" and "vote buying." Republicans traditionally engage in "taxpayers vs moochers" politics. They divide Americans into those who pay the taxes that provide government services and entitlements and those who take everything offered and give back nothing in return. This practice only works well as long as the people paying taxes understand how government actually works and know that anything provided from the government is never free, but always paid for by those who pay taxes. Democrats frequently take advantage of this knowledge weakness among average citizens by offering select groups of voters "free" gifts, or bribes, in exchange for their votes, such as birth control or cell phones or even houses. Once elected, the Democrats then raise the taxpayers taxes to pay for the "free" birth control, cell phones, houses, etc and force all taxpayers to pay the actual cost of the "free" items, plus the cost of government overhead which greatly exceeds the cost of simply buying the good or service on the free market.

Republicans traditionally appeal to the middle class by indicating that they understand the burdens of being a worker and taxpayer and raising a family. Republicans offer to help reduce those burdens by lowering taxes. Often they further attempt to motivate their voting base by promising to reduce costly government handouts to non-workers, non-taxpayers and non-citizens. After all, it is disastrous to lower taxes without reducing the costs associated with government. Democrats traditionally appeal to the lower class and upper class by indicating that they "feel your pain" and sympathize with the poor people's frustration at being poor and the rich people's feelings of guilt at being rich. They promise to make the poor richer by taking the wealth of the middle class and giving it to the poor, thus creating more poor people and more Democrats at the same time. This simultaneously assuages the guilt of the rich by telling them that they will be paying more taxes to help the poor. Ironically, rich Democrats in Congress and the White House are infamous for not paying any taxes at all even though it is a violation of the law not to pay taxes. Democrats further redistribute the nation's wealth to the lower classes by creating and then steadily expanding more and more government agencies and programs that give money, food, etc to select groups of people at the expense of taxpayers. In order to fund this mass transfer of wealth, Democrats always raise taxes.

Democrats always spend more money than the government takes in from taxes. This is called operating on a deficit, or deficit spending. Ordinary people simply call it spending money you don't have. Republicans typically focus on reducing the deficit while Democrats focus on printing money as fast as possible and spending it even faster than it can be printed.

Money defying power

Republicans believe that money can solve most problems and that power can be attained through the mere possession of money. Democrats believe that power can solve any problem and that money, and most anything else, can be attained through the acquisition of power. In the 1990s when Bill Clinton was president, he and his wife, Hillary, were brought to trail for various crimes and misdeeds which they were alleged to have committed. Their possession and usage of power shielded them from any consequences from their actions, legal or illegal. They were brought to trial many times for many criminal actions, but never once did they suffer the slightest consequence. Power protected them and they were able to go on to maintain their power year after year. Hillary is today the Secretary of State, having not left power since arriving in Washington DC in the early 1990s. Also in the 1990s, the Clintons requested monetary donations of one of the richest men in the world, Bill Gates. Bill Gates refused the Clintons demands for political donations and was subsequently forced to testify in a hearing in which he and his company were charged with numerous misdeed for which there was no evidence. Bill Gates assumed that because he possessed great wealth, that he also possessed great power. He behaved in his trial exactly as the Clintons had both behaved in their many trials. He claimed not to remember things and argued over the definition of "is" just as Bill and Hillary Clinton had done. Yet as the trial went on, it quickly became apparent that Mr. Gates was going to be punished despite not having done anything wrong. Further, his company was going to be split into 3 parts not only to hurt him for refusing to give money to the Clintons, but also as a message to other wealthy men like himself who might mistakenly believe that the mere possession of wealth gave them power and influence. Mr. Gates, at that time the richest man in the world, was ultimately forced to submit to the Clintons, at that time the most powerful people in the world, and give them lots of money, plus submit to their religious socialist worldview in his future endeavors. Mr. Gates did so, and left his own company in order to prevent any future political backlash against him from destroying his life's work, Microsoft, and causing its destruction. In the years since, he has given large sums of money to causes the Clintons approve of.

Power crushing money
The Democrats view power as the ultimate goal, and they are very skilled as both acquiring and using it to further their agendas. The Republicans view money as the ultimate goal, and they are very skilled at earning it and investing it, often using it as a tool for building companies or movements that are intended to further their agendas. In the world of politics, it would seem that power triumphs over money almost every time. Those whose focus is on power seem to know how to use money, even stolen money, to increase their power. But those whose focus is on money seem far less able to translate their money into power, and often end up losing their money to those who focused on power and then used that power to rob those who focused on money.  I believe Machiavelli explained this in detail in his writing. In fact, history is filled with examples that seem to prove this to be true. The Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Cuba, the list of historical examples of powermad egomaniacs robbing their nation's wealthy from positions of great power goes on an on. Any rich man who has been dragged into trial by a government can attest to the fact that power triumphs over wealth.(Those who fail to understand this and subsequently fail to attain power often like to sooth their pain by declaring "the truth will out" in a vain hope that the lies used by power-seeking sociopaths will eventually be revealed. While it is true the the truth often eventually comes out, in a world of power it simply doesn't matter. We know that JFK stole the presidential election of 1960 through massive vote fraud. It has been known since the election itself. Yet he still served a full 4 years as president and was even re-elected. The truth mattered not at all and did not affect his power. What affected his power were other powerful people who felt threatened and/or betrayed by him and used their own power to kill him.)
Nero - Emperor of Rome

These are my thoughts on the subject of power versus money, Democrats versus Republicans, truth versus "any means necessary." Now I'm curious to know yours. What do you think? Does money equate to power, or does power equate to money?

This and That

There is a news story circulating about a "transgendered woman" who was Tasered in the groin by police. Every single article refers to this person as "she." But when you actually read the story you learn that "she" has a penis and testicles, which is one of the reasons the Tasering of the groin was so agonizing for "her." The fact is, if you have a penis and testicles, it doesn't matter if you put on a dress and get breast implants, you are still male and therefore a "he" right up until the moment the doctor removes your penis and testicles and gives you a vagina. Fuck political correctness. This is a matter of reality versus fantasy. Reality wins, as the Taser amply demonstrated, not that I support doing that sort of thing to anyone.

More and more evidence keeps surfacing that Obama didn't win the election through legitimate votes. He won through massive and rampant voter fraud in the key states that gave him the electoral votes he needed to win. There is nothing shocking about the vote fraud. I already blogged years ago that this is what George Soros and the Democrat machine would do because this is what he's/they've been doing for a long time. What is shocking, though, is the reaction of Democrat voters when the issue is raised this November. First, they say that there is nothing wrong with rampant vote fraud being used by billionaire Democrats to steal an election. Second, they say "yeah well, Bush ..." and try to equate vote fraud by Democrat Billionaires and their gang-banger operatives with the Supreme Court decision in Florida that ruled that Bush was the victor. There is something very revealing about people who see a crime being committed and say "it doesn't bother me as long as I like the outcome." The outcome is that NO ONE'S vote counted, because fraudulent votes determined who the president of the United States is going to be for the next four years, and likely did the same four years ago, as I predicted here on this blog way back then. They also helped choose our Senators and House members, by the way.

Did anyone else notice that former President Bush never once came forward to support Mitt Romney's presidential campaign? Where was he? What was he doing that was so important? Do you think Romney didn't want his support?

I managed to sell a car in record time over the weekend. I created the ad on Saturday and by Sunday afternoon I had 2 guys in my driveway fighting over who was going to buy it. I mean fighting as in, it got really ugly and I started thinking that maybe I should carry a gun from now on when I sell cars in Memphis. For the record, I don't sell cars often, so this is probably just a one time thing. But this was a car that I would have never expected to have people fighting over, or buying so fast. In fact, I thought this car would be hard to sell just because people don't seem interested in this type of car. Boy was I wrong. Of all the cars I've ever sold, including a black 1978 Trans Am that I practically gave away, I have never seen anything like this. I should have asked for $1000 more for it, I guess.

OK, something is seriously wrong with this Dell laptop that I bought off Amazon. It seems to be doing whatever the hell it wants while ignoring what I'm telling it to do. I can't cope with that. If I can't fix this soon it's in the garbage for this computer.

I'm becoming a TV addict. For a long, long time I couldn't find anything on TV that I cared about at all, and now there are shows on every single night that I think are hilariously funny. It's ruining my life.

On Monday 2 Broke Girls has me hooked. I don't recall much else being of interest to me on Mondays, but the hot blonde on 2 Broke Girls has my undying love.

On Tuesdays New Girl, Go On and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 all have me hooked. Don't Trust the B has gotten funnier and funnier every time I watch it. I saw one episode of Ben and Kate and it made me laugh, too. I may get hooked on this show, dammit.

On Wednesdays Animal Practice, The Middle, The Neighbors, Modern Family and Suburgatory are all awesome. I had to watch Animal Practice as soon as I saw that Joanna Garcia is on it. She's hawt so you know I'm a fan of that show. The Neighbors is just getting goofier and goofier, but in a good way. Modern Family has lots of hotness with Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara both on the same show. And Suburgatory has lots of hot, plus Cheryl Hines has been the funniest person on the show more and more each week.

Thursday is, of course, Big Bang Theory night. And it conflicts with 30 Rock, which is a must see for me. Katrina Bowden plays Cerie Xerox on 30 Rock and for awhile they also had Elizabeth Banks, too. That show is funny as shit. It's a crime that this is its final season. Anyway, after that is a conflict between Two and  a Half Men and Up All Night. Two and a Half Men is always funny, but Christina Applegate is on Up All Night and I'll pretty much watch anything with her in it. It's funny, too. I rarely get to watch The Office, but I've liked it more the past few seasons than I used to. Jenna Fischer used to be really hot, and then they brought in Ellie Kemper and started to really get my attention. Not that hotness is the only reason I watch a show, but it doesn't hurt. The Office is funny, and it always has been, but I have honestly worked with some of the characters on that show and it wasn't funny in real life. I used to avoid the show because it reminded me of those stressful jobs and I just didn't like that. Apparently this is the last season for The Office, too. So 30 Rock and The Office will be gone after this season and Thursdays will be wide open.

Friday, they have moved my favorite show in the world to this night - Community. I love Community. For the longest time it was scheduled opposite Big Bang Theory on Thursdays and most people missed it. This show is genius. And yes, it has hotness in the cast for sure. Anyway, after Community is a freaky show called Grimm. I only started watching Grimm because I saw Claire Coffee in the ads, but then I got into the story and even after she disappeared I kept watching. Now they're bringing her back and I am thrilled.

So anyway, this is what has become of my life. TV has taken over. I used to be going to the gym every day at lunch, but since moving and taking a new job I haven't gotten back into the groove of that. I'm just a useless lump watching TV when I should be working out. I used to practice guitar while zombifying myself in front of the boob tube, but now for various reasons I can't even do that. I'm just sitting there like a lump. Sometimes I pull out my laptop and reply to emails. I had tried to work on the Little Red Riding Hood story while watching TV, but that didn't work at all and I have to stop and wait until all my shows were done and I could turn it off to write. So, this is my life now, lots of TV comedy shows that I used to ignore because I felt that I had better things to do. Apparently I don't have anything to do now and so TV is my nightly pacifier. How sad is that?

Sunday Night Rambling

So I haven't been asked to join any Fantasy Football leagues this year. And the season has started. So I'm taking this to mean that I'm not going to be asked and not going to play. This has thus far resulted in my having very little interest in football. The season is young, but I've already skipped 2 Dallas Cowboys games and for me to do that you have know that I'm just not that into it. Right now the San Francisco 49ers are taking on the Detroit Lions and I'm blogging instead of watching. All I've noticed is that Mario Manningham from the Giants is suddenly a 49er. Vernon Davis, a star Tight End, is also a 49er. I was thinking he was a Redskin last season, but I can't remember. And even though I have easy access to Google and could find out, I don't care. Davis and Manningham on the same offense is going to be a problem for opposing defenses.

I have something big to tell you and show you just as soon as I can get some good software for downloading video from my camera and editing it. I used to have a great Sony Viao PC with loads of video software on it, but suddenly it quit working so now I'm screwed. I have a new PC, but it lacks any video editing software. Any recommendations? What do you use?

So I'm blowing money out my ass lately. I'm trying to buy myself some happy. I think maybe the next big purchase needs to be a hooker. Yeah, but there aren't any hookers out here in The Boondocks where I live so I guess that idea will just have to wait.

I went for a jog yesterday. It was nothing special, just a slow, steady slog, complete with damn dogs chasing me and a little yapper that tried to bite my ankles, but I did surprisingly bad at it. After my little run my legs felt like two sticks of rubber. I could barely walk. I have gotten ridiculously weak and pathetic.

I didn't even realize that a full year had passed since I decided that I wanted to attended the Toronto International Film Festival, but apparently it has. I discovered this after missing it last year and then suddenly I'm hearing from people who are there now that I missed it again. To me it feels like a week went by between the two. I can't believe it's been a full year and I missed it again.

So, some quick opinions that I just want to lay out there:

Man-made global warming is bullshit. The promoters of this stupidity are dogmatic religious fanatics who won't even allow debate on the subject. Someone should stuff their heads in a freezer and slam the door on them several times until they fall unconscious. And then we can begin debating.

There is no war on women in any Western nation. There is a war on men and boys, and has been for my entire lifetime. Crimes against women and girls are less than one quarter as prevalent as crimes against males of any age in the United States. And they are decreasing. Our law enforcement and politicians simply don't take crimes against males seriously. If you look at how Western women are treated and live in a historical perspective they are the richest, most powerful, most privileged human beings that have ever lived. But politicians and other scam artists (communists) have found women to be especially susceptible to this specific kind of emotional manipulation through deception and so are using it to gain maximum political advantage. There have even been studies conducted recently that found that for some odd reason Western women are drawn to stories about women being hunted and preyed upon by men. There is something about it that excites them and causes them to seek out more stories of that sort. The fiction is now considered a fact in political and legal circles even as the real facts show it to be a huge and malicious lie that literally costs men their lives.

Our government is using our tax money to limit the amount of water we are able to use in our own showers. The tyrannical EPA ordered all manufacturers of showerheads in the US to place restrictors in them, making them spray with too little pressure so that it is extremely difficult to rinse all the soap out of your hair. Meanwhile, this same bunch of EPA global warming religious communist fuckwads have mandated that ethanol be produced in large quantities and mixed into our nations fuel supply, ruining it. Ethanol production wastes billions of gallons of clean drinking water per year. It creates shortages of drinking water. And these same assholes tell us that we shouldn't be permitted the freedom to take a decent shower because we waste too much water? Talk about arrogance and hypocrisy! Fuck the EPA!

Random crap I said elsewhere and am now repeating here:

A poop delayed is a poop denied. Don't schedule two meetings and then just roll from one into the other assuming no one needs a break.

According to TV, bigotry against white males, especially if they're wealthy, is not only acceptable, but even good. What happened to NoHate?

Do you think women wouldn't have been in the Olympics if not for Title IX? The rise in levels of women's athletics has been global, not limited to the United States, the only nation with a Title IX and the only nation pretending that it was politicians who created women's athletics and not athletes and coaches of both sexes. The greatest effect of Title IX hasn't been increased women's athletics, but decreased athletic opportunities for male athletes due to government quotas that eliminated male athletic teams, even when female athletes protested the elimination of their male teammates.

"When you look for the bad in mankind, you surely will find it." Some people make their living doing this, lobbying for laws based on it etc

If my life were any more fucked it would be a prostitute.

Q: What do you call 2 guys fighting over a slut?
A: Tug-of-whore

Arctic sea ice makes the best margaritas.

Joe Biden speaking to the crowd in Tampa is alleged to have ended with "Ich bin ein Tampon!"

Too many M&Ms, too much sugar, has my head spinning like a teenaged boy backstage at a Victoria's Secret show.

After the USSR fell Russia adopted the red, white and blue of the USA. After Gore lost to Bush the Democrats adopted conservative blue and their obedient Press assigned communist red to the Republicans. Hardly anyone noticed the switch, but it is very significant. One of the most consistent traits of a malignant sociopath is that whenever they are cornered or just plain beaten they will try to reverse important details in exactly this manner. Beware of those who do this. They are dangerous and evil.

I swear I'm close to the end of Little Red Riding Hood. I believe we're on chapter 300 now, right? Something like that. Yeah, sorry about that. I decided the direction the story should go before I started, but I had no idea that fleshing the story out would take so long. The funny thing is, if I decided to try to make a real novel out of it, I'm sure the whole thing would be maybe 50 pages, if that. Anyway, I guess a blog isn't the place for writing short stories, eh? I mean, if it's longer than a single post then it's too long.

Wallander is on. It's a series about a Swedish detective. I think I'm going to watch it.

Monday

You may have noticed that I am unable to get to my blog of late. Its true, I'm swamped with busy. I have some huge adjustments to make and until I get them taken care of my blogging will likely be very irregular.

So the instant I blogged "I still talk to Steph" she was gone. I mean, she was gone before, but we still talked. After I posted that, she was gone-gone, like the kind of gone where I wonder if she actually drowned at her parents farm or not.

There's a huge battle raging between establishment Republicans and Tea Party Republicans to see who is going to get the nomination for President. Meanwhile, Obama is trying to paint all Republicans as "anti-woman" because, as I've said before, he's our first lesbian president and thus to oppose him is to oppose all women everywhere according to communist-think. Yep, that's how it works in their twisted dogmatic world - disagree with one of those bitches and they label you as being against all bitches everywhere all the time forever.

I planted three trees already this year. I want this noted so the enviro-terrorists will give me my 'green credits' and leave me the fuck alone for the next three years. Fuck you loony religious assholes and your tree gods anyway. What do you do when you find yourself in a desert wasteland, suddenly become tree-atheists because there are no trees around? What about an environmentalist on the moon? Would he be so far from his tree gods as to be considered 'damned'?

I read recently that Chevrolet has stopped building any Volts. Apparently everything Obama touches turns instantly to shit, ala the housing market, solar power, etc, etc. No one wanted the Volt in the first place. Even a freshman in marketing could easily figure out that the market for the damn thing isn't there. Its a tiny niche, so you build just enough for that niche and no more. Ordering GM to crank out shitloads, which an American president lacks the authority to do and yet Obama did it anyway because he doesn't think the Constitution applies to tree gods like himself, doesn't guarantee success. It only guarantees a president looking like a stupid ass. So congratulations, President Stupid Ass, you proved your detractors correct. You truly don't know what the fuck you are doing.

I am exhausted and yet I can't think of why. I didn't do all that much today. I did some stuff, but it isn't as if I was flinging cinderblocks around in the back yard or anything. I moved some hoses, hauled some clothes upstairs to be stored away and little things like that. Nothing that should have worn me out. And yet here I sit, stinking of sweat and feeling as if I ran a marathon or something. WTF?

Monday of a New Year

There is a lot going on in the news, mostly political and cynical and dirty. It makes me angry the more I read. I have a strong sense of justice and all I see is massive corruption feeding itself and getting bigger while the taxpayers (me) get raped to pay for it all. I want to do something about it, but nothing I try seems to have much effect, if any at all.

I am going to try not to comment on any of the specifics of what I just said. I am going to try to just leave it alone. I am going to try, but you know at some point I wrote a letter to someone in Washington DC and told them exactly what I think and what I want.

And we both know what they are going to do with that letter. It will be deleted and ignored, as usual. That's pretty much par for the course with Washington DC these days. Heaven forbid any of the "little people" dare to speak to the criminals who rob us of our hard earned pay day in and day out.

Your Congressman

So, is anyone excited about the remaining Republican candidates for President? For that matter, is anyone excited about ANY of the candidates for President? I guess the Ron Paul people are excited. I don't know that Obama has as many people as he used to. Certainly among the rich white females he has lost that lovin' feeling. He's trying to buy it back with all sorts of outrageous and sexist legislation, but so far it isn't working. Again, I'm grinding my teeth as I resist the urge to comment on this in detail here.

I get the sense that people feel as if Mitt Romney has been hand-picked by the Republican leadership, those dark lords hiding in the shadows who so despise their own voters and especially the Tea Party that those voters created. It's more than a tad bit insulting to be told that you can choose any candidate you want so long as it's Mitt Romney. It brings to mind the last disastrous election in which conservatives were told "thanks for voting, but we've selected John McCain and he's getting the nomination even if no one actually voted for him." Yeah, thanks for that, you closeted foot-tapping homosexual pedophiles. And then McCain himself came out and just flat-out admitted he was never intended to win.

"Off with her head!"

Following the phony campaign of John McCain, which handed the White House to hand-picked Democrat candidate and known Marxist Barack Obama, the Obamas instructed Hollywood to send the stars of the recent film "Alice in Wonderland" to the White House to throw them a party in the them of "Alice in Wonderland." Johnny Depp himself, as well as Tim Burton, were there. It was during the height of the Depression and the slavish News Media obediently reported not a word about it until just this week, 3 years later, and even then only because a man how released a new book exposing the whole thing. It seems quite appropriate that new President Obama wanted to have a party themed after "Alice in Wonderland", complete with the Queen of Hearts, whose unjust, tyrannical, insane and arbitrary rule so closely mirrored his own upcoming display of legislative madness.

Before I get off the political stump, have you all noticed how many Obama staffers and czars and dealers and whores are jumping ship already? Every day there's another news story about someone in the Obama White House resigning and running like hell for the exits. Today it's one of the criminals from the Daley Klan out of Chicago. The other day it was one of the Lesbian Brigade. Before that I can't even remember who it was because there have been so many people grabbing for lifeboats and paddling away.

So tonight is a huge football game in college football. Two SEC teams (Yay SEC!) with little to no passing ability are going to spend all night beating the hell out of each other without scoring many points, if history is any guide, and then decide the final victor by a last second field goal or defensive take-away that gets run back for a touchdown. Games in which there are no offensive touchdowns often suck. But this game is the most important college football game of the year.

Yay SEC football!

Paul McCartney has a new album out entitled "Kisses on the Bottom." I'm sorry, perhaps he doesn't mean this the way it sounds, but I picture him kissing a naked woman on the ass when I hear this title. I didn't research it very deeply so I don't know what the real explanation is. But I prefer mine anyway. And when I hear 'album' I think of vinyl. So I wonder if this new album will indeed be available on vinyl?

The FCC is having to stand before the Supreme Court this week to defend their authority to regulate obscenity and indecency in broadcast media. According to the article, they have not been enforcing their rules since 2006, and prior to this they were a bit arbitrary and confusing in what they classified as illegal and what was legal. To me, as long as they permit scenes of men being viciously sexually assaulted by protagonists in what is depicted as a heroic act of justifiable retribution, I don't give a flying fuck how many curse words or bare breasts, buttocks, vaginas or penises are shown on the screen and to what audiences. Violent sexual abuse is the most obscene and indecent act there is short of murder, and they have stubbornly refused to prohibit it except when the victim is female. Thus, as far as I am concerned, the FCC serves no legitimate purpose in the first place and may as well be abolished. We already know from research that these glorifications of anti-male sexual violence have led to an explosion of misandric sexual assaults in this country. It isn't just a theory. It's a confirmed fact. And yet not one lawmaker, not one government agent, not one prosecutor has lifted a finger to stop it. Quite the opposite, in fact, it is packaged and sold as a uniquely American product while we pat ourselves on the back and claim we are doing a good thing by transforming our society into Sodom.

God's gift to the working man - beer and boobs

And with that cheery note, I see that I have not yet rediscovered my 'funny', so I'm just going to stop here and go watch some football. I hope you guys are all having a happy new year so far. Mine hasn't been too bad yet, except when I turn on the TV or read the paper, at which point I get more than a little discouraged and angry.

The FCC says this is fine, just so long as no one says "fuck" when they are assaulted ...

Friday Fun

Washington DC is playing football with our nation's future, kicking around the American credit card and refusing to stop spending even though we're broke and about to be foreclosed on. Our President claims to have a plan to deal with our massive debt problem, yet much like Nancy Pelosi's favorite health care bill, no one has seen this plan and we're told we must pass it in order to find out what's in it. In the case of Crazy Nancy's insistence that we'd have to pass the health care crime in order to see it, she was telling the truth because Democrats did all their dirty work behind closed doors, in total violation of the way our system works. In President Obama's case, no one at all has seen or heard any piece of any plan, yet the president continues to insist that he has one. It's a bit like his balls, we're expected to believe that they exist, but we see little recent evidence of that.

I'm being hit with requests to join Google+, Goodreads, Formspring, and on and on and on. For God's sake, how many internet things can I be expected to join and keep up with? I just want to turn off my computer and watch a movie, or read a good book, or go sit on a beach somewhere and relax in front of ocean waves with no phone and no internet drama.

Another Muslim terrorist hiding within America's own army attempted to execute a terrorist jihad attack on our soldiers at Ft Hood. And still our mainstream media refuses to identify him as a Muslim terrorist, just as they refuse to refer to illegal aliens as illegals and Senate Majority leader Harry Reid as a cunt.

NASA has released new information that blows a giant hole in the religious dogma of Al Gore and his church of the Sky is Falling environmental extremists who claim that global warming is a crisis and a threat to life on Earth. Far more heat and radiation is released into space than the United Nations and other environmental bogus government agents have claimed, the new data shows. But much like the discovery that freon was not causing any hole in the ozone did not reverse the EPA's ridiculously misguided restrictions on freon, and ditto with DDT, don't hold your breath waiting for this new discovery to have any effect whatsoever on the Carbon Tax proponents throughout the Western World of Wackos or Julia Gillard.

A new study has found that "Voters who watch a lot of television but don't really know much about the candidates besides how they look" tend to vote for whichever candidate is the prettiest and shiniest, rather than the smartest or most qualified. This came as no shock to former Presidential candidates John McCain or Bob Dole, both of whom lost to younger, shinier candidates who made shockingly empty speeches and promises and yet still trounced their older, duller opponents. It also comes as no shock to the Mainstream Media which has been working feverishly to smear and destroy shiny, pretty Presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann, who threatens to unseat Press-Blessed Golden Boy Barack Obama in the next election.

The Republican New Hampshire Debates

Well, the Republican candidates for President held a debate in New Hampshire earlier this week. I guess I might as well talk about it. These are the candidates and what I thought of them based on their performances:

1) Herman Cain - this debate did not go well for him. He's a businessman and he has a lot of good ideas. Clearly he knows how to handle a big spending and debt problem. But what he demonstrated at this debate is that he isn't very smooth at explaining things while on the spot with the left-leaning Press. He fumbled a question about allowing Muslims in his cabinet. It's still early and he can recover, but it didn't bode well for him.

2) Tim Pawlenty - for awhile he had looked like a reasonably strong candidate, even taking on Mitt Romney's disastrous Massachusetts healtcare mandate the day before on Fox News. But once he was on the stage next to Mr Romney and asked to restate what he had said earlier about 'Romneycare' he ... blinked. He refused to criticize Romneycare or say anything in any way negative about Mitt Romney's bad healtcare mandate for Massachusetts. I understand about not wanting to be an asshole and take a giant shit on your fellow party members, but what he did came across more as fear of Mitt Romney, as spinelessness and weakness, than as being respectful. It will cost him. America is looking for a 'real man' right now and that wasn't very manly.

3) Ron Paul - I've heard a lot of love for him from the most die hard conservative voters. They love several things he's said and done. But his "gosh ah shucks" Texas cowboy approach to this debate didn't cut it. He was unimpressive and reminded me of Jed Clampett from The Beverly Hillbillies. Jed Clampett was a plain spoken, decent and honest man, but who the hell would choose him to be President of the United States?

4) Rick Santorum - he seems to say what he means, and he shows conviction. He's not overflowing with charisma, but to conservative voters, the fact that he stands up for what they believe and doesn't dance back and forth on those key issues speaks volumes. He's not a total unknown, but he's not well known enough to be a serious threat just yet. As things shake up, if he can just stay the course and not stumble or repeatedly sabotage himself with stupid photos of him sticking his tongue out like John McCain, he could be a contender.

5) Newt Gingrich - he's trying to dance closely enough to the Republican Party leaders' to draw their love, while at the same time attacking President Obama on key issues that voters are angry about. When he's focused on the issues voters care about he's fine. But when he dances over to the side of issues that endear him to the Party Leaders he shows himself to be yet another treacherous compromising candidate of the sort that conservative voters are sick and tired of.

6) Mitt Romney - he's smart. He's confident. He's eloquent. He even looks like a President. And he's way too closely aligned with the Republican Party leaders and their compromise-anything approach to governing for conservative's liking. He's looking like a Party Man, and that is a bad thing. He'll definitely get the full financial backing of the Republican Party Leaders, but he hasn't shown himself to be the man conservatives hoped he'd be and for that, he isn't the man for the job.

7) Michele Bachmann - she's got balls. There is a reason that the very sick-of-business-as-usual Tea Party has been slowly wrapping their arms around her as their Chosen One, and it isn't because they want to cop a feel. It's because she says what they believe and she sticks to it. More than merely sticking to it, she explains those beliefs well and fights for them. And that is precisely what conservative voters have been desperately searching for over the past many years, only to be denied by the out-of-touch Republican Party Leaders with their Golden Boy candidates no one wants, like McCain and Dole. She won't be readily embraced by the Republican Party Leaders. In fact, looking at what they did to Sarah Palin in 2008, I expect they'll try to cut her throat right up to the very end, even if it means Obama gets reelected. But if enough conservatives are willing to support her with their checkbooks as well as their votes, she could win this thing. She impressed.

So there you go. That's the impressions that I took away from that debate in New Hampshire. I usually don't even watch these things, but I was curious to see who was an ass, who was a weasel, and who, if anyone, had some guts.

Tuesday's Turds

Change

So I was just visiting a blog from long ago when I decided to leave a comment. And then I thought better of it. And then I realized that I used to think of this person as a friend and later, as someone who was not interested in being a friend at all to me. And so I sat there wondering if I should comment or if perhaps they would not care for me to. And then I realized that I waste time on a lot of people who don't make me feel especially welcome. And I began to wonder why I do that? Why do I spend one minute of my time on people who don't seem to care if I stop by and aren't even nice enough to be my friend on Facebook or Twitter or some other website that barely involves any real contact at all? Why don't I just write these people off and drop them from my world altogether? I don't know, but a change is coming. I can feel it boiling up inside of me.

Police

I just saw an ad for yet another new cop show on TV featuring pretty people playing cops who go around beating the living crap out of anyone and everyone who gets in their way. It's called "Chicagoland" or "ChicagoCode" or something. Basically, according to the world of TV, there are the cops and then there are the 'bad guys' and that means anyone who isn't a cop, reporter, prosecutor, or woman. So if you're some guy standing on the sidewalk working a hotdog stand and the TV cops come along, expect to get the shit kicked out of you because you're a 'bad guy' and therefore not a human being. I get the impression that the writers of these shows have never been roughed up by real cops or had anyone they care about beaten and tortured and sent to the hospital by overzealous and unaccountable real cops because if they had they might hold a slightly different view of a world filled with bad cops*. And that's what most of these TV cops are, bad cops. We don't need more of this.

I remember a brief period when I was a kid, the baby boomers had gained so much experience dealing with bad cops that, once they began to come into power, they altered laws governing how police treat private citizens to such a degree that many people felt the cops had their hands tied behind their backs because suddenly they had to respect a few basic human rights among the citizens. On television many shows wouldn't even allow their TV cops to carry guns (CHiPs) or really rough anyone up to any great extent. It was the age of Charlie's Angels and love taps that took a man down without any real harm or indecent assaults to the genitals. That didn't last long, though, and today we live in a world where it seems like things have gone too far the other way. Way too far.

Football

We're in the heat of the NFL playoffs leading up to the Superbowl, the biggest game of the year, and I'm already sick of watching football. Despite this football fatigue, the NFL corporate bigwigs are pushing to add 2 more weeks of games, which the players themselves don't want. And whose grand idea was it to move the Pro Bowl to the week BEFORE the Superbowl? Clearly anyone playing in the Superbowl can't play in that game, so that removes many top players from that game. Sometimes I think every corporate and political leader in America is high on crack.

Politics

For the past few years there has been a long overdue revolt among conservative voters against their own Republican Party. It couldn't be more obvious that the leaders of the Republican Party are totally out of touch with and often opposed to the views of their voter base. Following 2 devastating defeats in a row in national elections where conservative voters sent a crystal clear message to their party that they were not willing to accept the treacherous douchebags being offered to them in place of actual leaders, the voters grew fed up and formed the Tea Party, a movement more than an actual political party, which assembles disgruntled voters and mobilzes them to action. They kicked out many "party men" in congressional elections, booting the Republican leadership approved douches and replacing them with a third-party candidate from out of nowhere, often winning the overall election due to the fact that their candidate more accurately reflected the views of the voters than either the 'chosen' Republican candidate or the Democrat. Despite all this, the Republican Party leadership remains primarly a Log Cabin affair, with the same good old boys and girls being chosen for the more important positions, such as Speaker of the House and especially the Republican Party leader himself, previously held by a guy almost no one had ever heard of and then replaced with another guy no one has ever heard of. Meanwhile, their Speaker of the House, Mr Crybaby Boehner, continues to very cynically and shamelessly play his "I feel your pain" female-appeasement card by dressing himself in pink and crying like a blue-eyed infant every time the cameras are rolling, just to show how terribly sensitive and caring he is. Clearly this man has higher aspirations. He obviously believes that the key to achieving greater positions of power for himself is to sucker emotion-focused female voters into thinking he is a delicate flower who could substitute for Oprah if she should ever go on vacation. To the rest of us he is a good indication that the cleanup of that particular political party isn't nearly done yet. Perhaps the Republican Party leaders and the few males still left in the Democratic Party could get together and form a new party, the Metrosexual Party, with their official party color of pink, and devote as much time and energy as they please to tearful appeals to Oprah fans while the rest of us focus on the actual issues.

Exercise

I don't know what to make of this, but four days after my last pump class workout I am still walking like a testicular cancer patient because my legs are so sore. I had complained repeatedly here and elsewhere about my trainer not really doing what I hired him to do. This intense pain combined with my lousy performance in pump class seems to support my view. Its ridiculous the shape I'm in after working out so much over the years. If I can survive this class I think it will help me a lot.

The Blog World

Blogs come and blogs go and why I'm still here I do not know. I've noticed that truly spectacular blogs often inspire new blogs written by their real-life friends, but those supplementary blogs seem to flame on and then burn out much more quickly than the original that inspired them. And then there are the supernovas, the blogs that burst onto the scene, dazzle us all with their newness and unique perspectives, and then just as quickly shut down. There are so many great blogs that have come onto the scene and inspired us over the years, only to eventually retire and walk away, leaving a hole in our blogrolling hearts in need of filling. After almost 7 years of this I have begun to feel that some blogs simply cannot be replaced. Those blogs tend to be written by people who are remarkably unique and likeable. And then there are the other blogs, like mine, written by dysfunctional people who seem to inspire as many haters as fans, if not more, and yet continue to creep along for reasons that make sense only to the blogger themself.

A fellow blogger had suggested to me that the name of my blog, Nude Memphis, actually drives a lot of potential readers away as it creates the impression of being a porno blog. I don't know if this is true or not, but I'm betting most of you aren't still reading at this point and thus won't see or respond to this question, but I'd like to know what you think about that? Should I drop "Nude" from the title of my blog?

And speaking of nude, what the fuck is this shit?

* Bad Cops - I just want to make clear that I do recognize the existence of both good cops and bad cops. We need good cops and good laws. Unfortunately, recent developments in our laws have done nothing to encourage more good cops, but plenty to create a lot more bad cops. Our lawmakers have been totally absent on issues in need of authentic leadership and decent legislation dealing with many very real problems. Even many veteran cops have voiced concerns about a lot of things going on today and Lord knows the medical community has.
